Welcome to my class website and blog! Here, I will communicate with my students, school families, colleagues, and fellow educators about what's going in in my classroom, techniques I'm using, and how to support your children or students. I am an Ontario-educated and -certified teacher. I began my career teaching high school English and English as a Second Language in Kashechewan, Ontario - way up on the coast of James Bay. After, I was hired to be an Elementary Occasional Teacher in Kingston, Ontario. After teaching Grades 1 and 2 for three years, I am moving to SK/1! In the summers, I teach English as a Second Language for Queen's University.
I have recently started a Teachers Pay Teachers store. I am trying to create all of the things I wish I could find on TPT, but haven't yet. I hope to create long-lasting products that will help students take ownership of their learning and can be differentiated by parents/teachers easily.
This year, I am going with a Reggio Emilia-inspired classroom with more inquiry-learning! I actively use The Daily 5, CAFE, and BUILD Math and I'm excited to incorporate more inquiry into my programming.
